The Inn On The Green became The FlyOver

The FlyOver

W10's newest live music and arts place to check out: A new 300 capacity venue in the heart of Notting Hill, 2 mins from Ladbroke Grove tube: The Flyover.

Last Friday, The FlyOver opened its doors to the locals with a bash! The Reggae in da City crew got on stage and put on an amazing show. The place was crowded and all around an excellent night -  thumbs up!

The new venue that replaces the old Inn On the Green, is in many ways, much the same. The differences are good nevertheless. The venue saw a paint brush and it's more open - you can see the bands from the bar, and it does feel more spacious.

In their words: " Expect to hear the most up front electronic sounds, the heaviest reggae baselines, historic folk ballads, mind expanding jazz improvisation; soulful music from all corners of the globe and everything in-between.

The well curated line up of events will be matched with a bar that features an equally eclectic array of boutique wines, hand crafted beers, soft drinks and friendly staff.

We’re keen to involve local people both as customers and in other ways. If you want to be involved, get in touch."

We are very pleased to see this venue re-opening and interested in keeping the dialogue with the locals!

From Mondays to Saturdays there's the Café Nova in operation. The menus are created by the people who cook them and they vary according to who is in the kitchen. Their offer includes Eritrean, Indian, Spanish, Sudanese, Lebanese, Eastern European and countless other regional foods. The people behind this new venture met through NOVA’s language and other skills classes and are working together to develop menus shaped around family recipes, individual cultures and a pride in sharing food that is special to them.

Supported by trainees and volunteers, Café NOVA is run by NOVA new opportunities, a local charity working with local people to develop their skills and confidence and to move into further education, training, work experience and jobs.
