Today, Friday at the Masons Arms, another benefit gig put together by the Kensal Town Fund (KTF).
The KTF have been around since 2004 and for the last 8 years, they have organised several benefit events for local and overseas charities. It all started started shortly after the 2004 tsunami that claimed so many life's and caused unbelievable destruction. Like most people, they wondered what could they do. And so the KTF was born. Since then it has raised about £20 000 that went to several charities. All the gigs have counted with technicians, musicians and performers who have contributed with their time and talent to make the KTF nights memorable events.
This time the benefit gig takes place again at the Masons Arms in Kensal Green and will have live music featuring De Rayla,
The Graphic (new local talent and one to watch out for!), Scant Regard with Dave Barbarossa,
Delphi, Freak Elite.
Plus DJ's, Inc Dave Brown, DJPJ, Guya, and Djstiff, (with a possible set by CheManic and the Ole Factory), Belly dancing and Pole artists!. Lights will be by Lightening Rod, at Bubblevision, the Floating Taxi.
Prizes for the Best Moustache, and Raffle!
All for a voluntary donation of £5 that will go to the
Movember.com Charity for mens Prostate Cancer, a worthy cause, as the Government recently announced that 1 in 4 of us will shuttle off this mortal coil as a result of the big C.
