Scram Comedy Club with Steve Best and Inder Manocha
When:
Thu, 26. November 2009, 20.00 h - 00.00 h
Where:
Masons Arms - London
Category:
Comedy

Description

Last month's Scram was one of the best in our four year history - packed to the rafters, filled with laughter and an impromptu lock-in to celebrate!
It'll be a hard act to follow but we think we've got a line-up that will once again take the roof off. For a start, this month we're being filmed!
Ooow, I hear you say, gasping with delight, that's right, Scram is destined for great things and you can be a part of it on the 26th.

Described by The Times as "in a class of his own", Steve Best is rapidly building a reputation as a great visual comic, harnessing a mind-boggling array of gadgets and gags to keep his audience in stitches. Steve has blasted onto the comedy scene and is a regular on the nationwide comedy circuit. As a headline act, Steve has performed all over the world including Hong Kong, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Spain, Greece, Ireland and Italy's celebrated 'Festival of the Absurd'. His UK profile has been hugely boosted by supporting some major tours, including FRANK SKINNER and CRAIG CHARLES. He has headlined an extensive university tour and took his own show to Edinburgh to massive critical acclaim.

Inder Manocha has performed stand-up comedy all over the world since 2000 and played all the major UK, from the Comedy Store and Jongleurs to the Hackney Empire. He has made successful appearances with the Comedy Store’s critically acclaimed ‘Cutting Edge’ team (improvised comedy on topical issues). In 2004 he won the EMMA Award (Ethnic Multicultural Media Award) for Best Comedy/Comedian, beating Meera Syal, Lenny Henry and Three Non-Blondes. In 2006, Inder performed his debut full-length show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ‘Unpronounceable’, at the Pleasance Courtyard. The show explored his life growing up in the ever-increasing multicultural mix of Britain.

All this, plus an extended stand-up set from Scram Comedy King Mr Marc Lucero guarantees another memorable evening.

Doors open at 8pm, show at 9

Description

Another fine Victorian building that combines old traditions with modern style. There is no doubting that this really is a 'real pub'. The spacious open plan main bar on the ground floor provides all you could want from a good, honest pub; traditional British food, real ales, quality wines, great music and a convivial atmosphere.

The 1st Floor Lounge Bar & Roof Terrace  hosts numerous events, including the ever popular Scram Comedy Club, and screens all the major sporting events.  It is also available for Private Hire.

The sundrenched garden (sundrenched when it's sunny that is!), features a BBQ kitchen, outdoor heaters, shaded alcoves and an enclosed snug.

We even provide a free WiFi service  for all our customers.

The Mason's Arms is on The Harrow Road situated 20 metres from Kensal Green tube station (Bakerloo line).
