Notting Hill Carnival 2011 – sound systems & map

Notting Hill Carnival 2011 – sound systems & map

That’s right folks! The carnival will be upon us soon: that yearly event that turns this area into a massive stage for a street party.
Let just hope that the dickheads who are intent on causing trouble, stay at home with their mummies, and that the skies opens up with glorious sunshine.

This year - yet again!- has been a bit difficult to get hold of a half decent map. The RBKC has published one for the sound systems that you can see here. To be honest it’s a rather boring looking one. You can also find this one with the google maps - it's from last year but sound systems tend to stay in the same location. Plus there's this one for parking restrictions. If any of your mates are travelling over to the area then this is the one to check. We will of course try to gather more info.
If you have an iPhone you maybe be interested in a new free app - check this article. It has maps as well.

In the next couple of days, we will be sending out our Newsletter Carnival Special with all the after parties that are worth a mention.
In the meantime you may want to check out the Listings with all the best parties coming up.
As you may know the  legendary Goodtimes, Rampage and KCC sound systems will not be appearing this year (however the KCC is still on the map)... maybe they know a thing or two that we are yet to find out.
Whatever you do, have fun and be safe ;)
Keep tuned.
