"STreets Of Peace" comes to Notting Hill

Some dreams do come true. Singer songwriter Mark-Anthony Abel is making his dream come true to put on a peace event with a difference. This Friday 21st, the event takes place at the Flyover.

He says: "It is about inspiring people to want something better, to appreciate art across different genres and to think about what peace actually means. No one needs to preach about peace, but just having a great time in an environment with cool people, can be a real positive experience."

Joy Ibiayo will be performing at the Flyover

STreets Of Peace began its life as the idea of Mark-Anthony Abel but without the creative force of Roy Cooper, Daily Mirror Graphics Editor, it might have been a wholly different story. It is Roy's skill as an artist that has brought a strong visual presence to the event. "STreets Of Peace allows me to raise money for good causes, work with influential and fantastic people like James Whale, Dan Greenpeace, Normski and Roy Cooper. But being able to watch great acts like Akala, Chris Helme, The Soul Mavericks and Jamaican Rock legend Peter Straker, best friend to the late Freddy Mercury, will be the piece de resistance. We have been incredibly fortunate to have gained support and with events in Notting Hill Gate and other lLondon venues,  where you’ll also be able to see Kerrang favourites Rock Band Bleech and dance music star Joy, we are very excited about Summer 2013 " Fifteen finalists have been chosen and will perform in London.
